Delhi Times Fashion Week ends on a sizzling note

The three-day fashion extravaganza, Delhi Times Fashion Week 2019, took place from April 5 to 7 at Roseate House, Aerocity, New Delhi. The first day, was packed with five shows by six designers, who showcased some trendsetting designs for the spring-summer season. Day one saw a charismatic collection by Mandira Wirk followed by exceptional designs by Charu Parashar and Anand Bhushan. The day’s finale was by designer Narendra Kumar. Sophie Choudhary was the showstopper for Mandira Wirk’s collection titled ‘The Dainty Affaire’. The day also showcased collections by students of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology. <.p>
The second day saw Ashima Leena’s Indian luxury collection which was a refreshing change from the Indian summer heat. Ali Ahmed’s collection spoke in muted tones through pure fabrics and product innovations. Niki Mahajan presented an ethereal collection. Top models like Candice Pinto, Deepti Gujral and others walked the ramp.
Designer Charu Parashar’s collection had prints highlighted with embroidered outlines. Sherwanis paired with denims and printed jackets with frilled pants made it fit for spring/summer. Male models wore sneakers with sherwanis, printed jackets. The athleisure line had hand embroidery there was fusion wear for women as well – lehenga skirts and also some dresses. Be it short skirts, tunics with embroidered motifs, straight-fit dresses or kurtas in subtle shades, designer Anand Bhushan’s collection, Sprout, had everything that any woman would want in her summer wardrobe. The collection had something for women of all age groups.
