Designer Rohini Bedi to showcase at 34th AAPI Convention in New York City

Indian origin fashion designer from Los Angeles Rohini Bedi will lead the fashion show at the coveted AAPI Convention being held in New York City. The collection called ‘Colors of India’ has been designed exclusively for the Convention.

The collection infuses the vibrant colours of the East with the bold and jaw dropping designs of the West. The fashion show will consist of dancers dancing to Caribbean, Brazil, Hawaiian dances provided by Bergen pac and music. This will be followed by models sashaying down the ramp in resort wear. There will also be fusion/jazz/tap dancing. A kathak dance will be performed too. The grand finale will see performance by Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre.

American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) Convention offers an excellent opportunity to interact with leading physicians, health professionals, academicians and scientists of Indian origin. has come to be recognised for the ways it caters to the varied needs of the delegates from across the nation. The Convention offers events, programmes and a variety of services. The 34th AAPI Convention is being held from June 30 to July 4.

AAPI was founded in 1982 by a group of concerned Indian American medical professionals. Today it is the largest non-profit ethnic medical organisation in the US representing the interests of over 60,000 practicing physicians and 20,000 medical students, residents and fellows of Indian origin.
