The first line to be released by Carolina Herrera since Wes Gordon took over the brand has infused new life into the fashion house.
The designer’s Resort 2019 collection features bright, youthful looks that range from casual attire to elegant evening wear. Some items in the 240 piece collection bear a touch of retro while others feature colorful embroidery. Among the 60s’ inspired designs are a floral blazer, rainbow cape and flowing light blue evening gown.
“Welcome to Palm Springs,” Gordon said in a press release. “This is where the golf course meets the desert, where midcentury architecture meets kitsch wallpaper, where Slim Aarons meets Coachella, a bright, sunshiny oasis. It’s a little quirky and glamorous at the same time.”
Gordon took over the company this past February as Herrera moved to the position of Global Brand Ambassador.
