LFW Winter-Festive 2016 will host plus-size fashion show

For the first time the winter-festive edition of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) 2016 will host the first ever plus-size model hunt for males and females curated by Shilpa Chavan of Little Shilpa. She has tied up with plus-size store aLL. The idea is to present a collection that can be worn by plus-sized women. Usually the collection presented on the runway is meant for women who have good figures.

The auditions is being held at St Regis for plus-size men and women who would like to walk the ramp. The hunt will be followed by the first plus-size show to be held during the forthcoming LFW at St Regis from August 24-28.

The idea behind the show is to prove, as Jaspreet Chandok, vice president and head – fashion, IMG Reliance Pvt Ltd points out, that one can be plus-sized and yet be fashionable, stylish and fabulous. At the auditions, the company is looking at confident plus-sized males and females who are comfortable in their skin.

With this LFW will be redefining fashion once again.
