Liva organised an exclusive fashion show in Kolkata which had the brand’s first ever sari collection. The idea was to bring the saris back in vogue. Along with Liva, other sari brands associated with it such as Nilima’s Studio AV, Tatwamm, Aashirwaad and others displayed their creations. Their saris had been created with Liva fabrics which stand for the best of Liva such as deep colours, unmatched sheen, skin friendliness and effortless drape.

Liva is looking forward to partner with leading sari brands and expects to have more than 3 million saris every month in the next two years. The best thing about Liva fabrics is that they are natural and fluid and as such don’t seem heavy to wear. The sari market is the largest category of clothing in India worth approximately Rs 40,000 crores. It is growing at 6 per cent CAGR. Sari is truly the best designer wear that India has given to the fashion world. Liva saris are easy to manage and available in unique natural blends with cotton, Cupro, VFY, silk and linen.

In the last one year, Liva has had a successful run in womenswear, noted Manohar Samuel, President, MBDD, Birla Cellulose. Liva has partnered with various women’s brands and is present in more than 2000 retail outlets.

The final fashion collection at the show in Kolkata was a curated version from designer Krishan Mehta. The collection was designed keeping in mind the modern appeal and patterns that can be created with a sari. Her collection presented various styles that can be used to drape a sari.
