An initiative, ‘Not Made by Children’ was launched at the ongoing Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week (LMIFW), New Delhi, March 13 to 16, 2019 by Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation to stop child labor in India’s fashion and textile industries. The foundation works to end child labor and help children in exploitative situations as well as advocating for access to proper education and healthcare. It advocates for children in terms of government policies and aims to empower children worldwide and works to end child labor and help children in exploitative situations as well as advocating for access to proper education and healthcare. The NGO works to give future generations a child-friendly world.

Fashion in India is becoming increasingly conscious of both the environment and human rights. More and more brands are also attempting to support fair labor conditions and sustainable production methods.

Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week, organized by the Fashion Design Council of India, has designers presenting their autumn/winter collections. The first day of the fashion week was dedicated to sustainable fashion. Overall, the fashion week moved away from structured, staccato ensembles meant to be worn in a formal setting to embrace a more casual, relaxed vibe, holding hands with cultures around the world.
