Manish Malhotra will open LFW Summer Resort 2016

Well-known Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra will kick off the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer Resort 2016 with a glamorous offsite show on March 29. He will be doing this show in association with the mobile brand Jio LYF. The show is special to Malhotra who will be celebrating the milestones achieved by him in the industry. He has been in the industry for 25 years as a costume designer and 10 years he has had his own label. For this show, Malhotra will be unveiling his creations based on the elements of nature.

Sounding excited about the show, Malhotra pointed out that it will be a special show for him because it will mark the beginning of another decade of his label. He has had a long and fruitful association with LFW and as such feels ‘completely at home’ there. He will be showcasing his new Summer Resort 2016 collection, which is based on elements of nature such as air, earth, fire and water.

Malhotra is known for his unique creative vision and master craftsmanship. His creations have been worn by a host of Bollywood actresses including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sridevi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Post the show, a fashion gala will be held from March 30 to April 3. Rohit Bal will bring the curtain down on LFW.
