Denim lifestyle brand has launched special edition reusable non-surgical face masks benefitting New York-based non-profit organization Homes for the Homeless. For every bundle sold, Mavi will donate a bundle to Homes for Homeless to help the organization continue its mission of supporting families experiencing homeless and to create solutions to improve their quality of life.
Each of the four Homes for Homeless Family Residencies located in the Bronx and Queens serve nearly 550 families, with wrap-around services including on-site childcare, afterschool and recreation, job training, housing assistance, and social services. The organization's services are open to anyone in the surrounding neighborhoods regardless of housing or economic status.
In a statement Cuneyt Yavuz, CEO of Mavi said, “As a global brand, we have seen the effects of Covid-19 across the world, and with our U.S. headquarters in NYC, we have experienced the harsh impact the virus has had first hand. We are happy to be able to give back to our local NYC community through our partnership with Homes for the Homeless. Demand for cloth face masks continues to be at an all-time high, and we hope to help keep everyone safe with the addition of Mavi face masks.”
The Mavi face masks are lightweight, breathable, and made with a double layer of pre-washed 100 percent cotton. The five available prints are made with a water-based print to not harm the skin and comes in camouflage and bandana print in varieties of blue, white, and red.
