Nigeria Student Fashion and Design Week (NSFDW) has announced the return of its ninth edition, set to take place on 20 December 2025 at GAC Motors, Victoria Island. Positioned during Lagos’ popular “Detty December” season, the event will spotlight emerging designers and celebrate the intersection of youth culture, creativity and fashion.

Recognised as one of Africa’s leading platforms for new talent, NSFDW has helped launch the careers of more than 300 designers since its debut in 2013. Recent alumni have gained international visibility, with last year’s winners, PatrickSlim and Vienne Styling, showcasing their collections at Dallas Fashion Week 2025.

Founder Abiola Orimolade said the platform continues to evolve as a support system for young creatives. “Their progress affirms that NSFDW is more than a showcase; it is a system that guides young creatives from emerging talent to recognised professionals,” she said.

The 2025 edition will feature runway shows, panel discussions and networking sessions aimed at strengthening connections across the fashion ecosystem. Inspired by the festive spirit of “Detty December”, the event aims to highlight the innovation and energy shaping contemporary African fashion.
