Seoul Fashion Week has become an increasingly important international fashion platform and a serious buying destination for global retailers, with particular interest in the city’s emerging generation of Korean designers. The FW26 edition attracted 99 international buyers from 23 countries, generating reported order consultations worth 7.54 million dollars, up from 7.45 million dollars the previous season.
The SS27 edition took place from September 1–6, 2026, centered on Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), with additional events at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil. The season featured 31 brand runway shows and presentations, alongside a trade show showcasing around 100 brands.
In The Trenches
The absolute standout item of the season. Trench coats dominated across multiple collections, shown in a variety of fresh ways, from updated khaki and animal print to sheer and mesh versions.
Greedilous SS27 by Younhee Park
A trench coat with deep notch lapels, buttoned storm flaps, a loosely cinched waist belt, and a stylized floral lining. Accessories included a woven straw hobo bag, the Adidas Golf Originals Bucket Hat and flower embellished sneakers.
Kelly Shin SS27 by Shin Soo-jin
A relaxed-fit metallic mesh trench coat styled with structured shoulders, wide lapels, and a coordinating waist tie, paired with knee-high black patent leather boots.
Lie SS27 by Chung Chung Lee
A gabardine trench coat with soft epaulets and a loose waist tie in light beige with contrasting mint/pale sage green panels on the lapels and upper storm flap. The coat was styled over fringe-textured striped pants.
Re Rhee SS27 by Junebok Rhee and Hyunjung Joo
A light-beige, oversized double-breasted trench coat crafted with a distinct creased and wrinkled texture, complete with a wrapped waist belt and button detailing, styled with black hose and ankle boots.

The White Way
Head-to-toe white makes a fresh statement for SS27, with Seoul designers giving the monochromatic look a distinctly sporty, technical edge. Performance-inspired fabrics, streamlined silhouettes and athletic details bring a futuristic quality to the clean white palette, while keeping the overall look crisp and contemporary.

Lie Sang Bong SS27
An asymmetrical, split-material long-sleeve shirt. One side features a solid white fabric printed with a portrait of Frida Kahlo; the other side is sheer, translucent mesh decorated with an oversized safety pin graphic and high-waisted micro-pleated wide-leg sheer trousers and futuristic white eyewear.
Sling Stone SS27 by JongChul Park
A sheer white organza trench coat with see-through paneled tailoring, a distinctive oversized collar, a tie-waist belt, and casual frayed stitch details along the edges, styled with black athletic boots.

A vivid cobalt blue emerged as a standout color across the Seoul SS27 runways, appearing in everything from head-to-toe looks to individual accessories. The highly saturated shade brought a contemporary energy to streamlined silhouettes.

An electric cobalt blue cropped, zip-up utility jacket with ruffled and frayed sleeves, styled with an elongated, structured column skirt, both with white tipping and black mules.

The Denim Edit
Denim takes on a prominent role for SS27, with designers pairing jeans with tops and jackets in a wide variety of cuts, proportions and washes. From relaxed, oversized silhouettes to more directional shapes, the fabric is used for both everyday separates and coordinated looks, highlighting its continued versatility for contemporary wardrobes.

A printed, ruffled, chiffon crop top with dark-wash straight-leg jeans embellished with faux pearl embellishments lining the pockets and outer leg seams.
