American Swan looking at appointing executives across functions

Keeping its growth momentum in sight, international fashion and lifestyle brand, American Swan plans to rope in executives across major departments such as marketing, technology, merchandising, HR and finance over the next six months.

A company statement says, the company aims to carry out recruitment drive at all levels right from the head to executive levels, across all its verticals. With plans to add significant numbers to its existing team of over 100 people, the brand is also looking to achieve expertise in all the major functions and departments to further streamline the business and its activities.

The brand is targeting Rs 300 crores in GMV by mid-2016, with a focus on absorbing people from Premier B schools and graduate students from fashion institutes like NIFT and Pearl Academy.

The company recently appointed Sharad Thakur as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Having over five years of experience in the fashion and lifestyle ecommerce space Thakur’s mandate is to take American Swan's online business to the next level. He will be leading all the marketing initiatives for the brand and will take steps to strengthen brand's penetration across the country.
