Falguni & Shane Peacock bag ‘World Designer Award’

Globally acclaimed Indian fashion design duo Falguni and Shane Peacock has bagged the prestigious ‘World Designer Fashion Award’ at the ongoing 64th edition of the Miss World beauty pageant. The duo’s creation featuring a fitted gown with a thigh-high slit was flaunted worn by the Indian beauty queen and one of the 125 contestants of the pageant, Koyal Rana.

The duo has opened their first exclusive store in Los Angeles. Another place, where they want to open a shop is Madison Avenue in New York. After designing for international celebrities like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Katy Perry and Fergie, Shane and Falguni Peacock are popular designers among the international fashion circuit.

Apart from Falguni and Shane Peacock’s winning ensemble, the competition honoured Scottish designers Eleganza Sposa and Siobhan Mackenzie for their gown donned by the Miss World Scotland Ellie McKeating. The third trophy went to the Dominican Republican designer Keyther Estévez’s creation for Miss World Dominican Republic, Dhio Moreno.
