Fashionandyou announces new executive appointments

Gurgaon-based flash fashion ecommerce player Fashionandyou.com has announced new appointments in leadership positions for its apparel and non-apparel teams. Anurag Sharma has been brought on board as the Associate Vice President for sales and sourcing of the apparel category, while Shyam Katuri has also been appointed as Associate Vice President and will be responsible for leading the non-apparel team.

Sharma, a NIFT graduate, has earlier worked with Genesis Colors, Satya Paul, Reebok India, and ITC Wills Lifestyle, whereas Katuri was with global companies like Walmart, Landmark Group and fashion portal Jabong. Recently, the company had announced appointments of Mahinder Narang as Vice President - Product Management and Sanjay Kumar as Head of Engineering and Technology.

The company is also eyeing 50 million dollars or Rs 300 crores in funding, through a round led by US-based investment fund Morgan Creek Capital. The company’s existing investors Sequoia Capital and Norwest Venture Partners, among others, are also expected to participate in the latest funding round.

Keeping the prospects fashion category holds in overall ecommerce market, Fashionandyou is hiring talent to boost growth. Sources confirm that while Sharma has a mandate to bring more brands on the platform in the apparel category, and Katuri will be looking at ramping up footwear and fashion accessories as well as the home and living vertical.
