Gaurav Mahajan joins Raymond as President-Group Apparel

Apparel maker Raymond has announced the appointment of Gaurav Mahajan as President-Group Apparel. Mahajan was serving as Chief Operating Officer at Trent, before taking over the new role.

The company, having a strong apparel portfolio of brands like Park Avenue, Colour Plus, Parx and the recently launched, Raymond ready-to-wear, is aggressively looking at growing them, while venturing into new categories to establish as a company offering complete lifestyle solutions.

The Gautam Singhania-led group recently made an online foray with a full-fledged virtual platform called RaymondNext.com, that will also include mobile apps. For this latest step, the company has roped in Vijay Basrur, a digital specialist who has worked with online startups like Quikr and Bazee.com. The e-platform will display all of company's brands, and products spread across textile, apparel, home furnishing and personal care accessories apart from customised design and styling services.
