Interview Magazine names new editor-in-chief

The new editor-in-chief of storied New York-based publication Interview Magazine is a familiar name to Interview fans. Mel Ottenberg, the publication’s creative director, has been named to the top role. His first issue will be the October edition.

Ottenberg succeeds Nick Haramis as Interview’s editor-in-chief. Ottenberg originally joined Interview in May 2018, just as the publication was filing for bankruptcy, but it would relaunch not too long after under new investors.

Ottenberg is best known for his work as a stylist, having worked with top celebrities including Rihanna. His creative vision has been a signature of interview for the past several years, and he says he plans on taking more creative risks with the magazine in the future.
