Leading e-tailer Snapdeal saw a major shift in its management when Srinivas Murthy stepped down from the post of senior vice president-marketing. He has been bitten by the e-commerce bug and has decided to venture into the world of e-commerce by launching his own start-up. Though he has not divulged details of this new venture, he says that he will announce it in a few months.

Recently, head of strategy Ranjan Kant quit to join online fashion retailer Jabong as its chief marketplace officer. Snapdeal co-founder and CEO Kunal Bahl says Murthy will be missed in days to come but at the same time, he is happy to see the spirit of Snapdeal’s entrepreneurship being carried forward.

Snapdeal, too, has brought in senior leaders from across the world in the last one year. Anand Chandrasekaran, ex-CPO Bharti Airtel, Gaurav Gupta, former India Head Bay area start-up Scalearc are some of the people who have joined Snapdeal.
