Sundeep Malhotra resigns as HomeShop18 CEO

Founder and CEO of HomeShop18 Sundeep Malhotra has put in his papers after serving the company for nine years, which saw him turn around the business to match the ecommerce era. He established HomeShop18 as a multi-screen digital platform that can be accessed across TV, web, and mobile devices by customers.

As announced earlier, Sanjeev Agrawal, ex-MD of Skechers South Asia has stepped into Malhotra’s role. Agrawal with over 14 years of experience in the retail industry has been the CEO of Pantaloon and later served as CEO of Future Value Retail.

Malhotra, who is also the co-chairman of FICCI’s Retail Committee, has been honoured with several awards including the ‘eRetail Leadership of the Year’ by Indian eRetail Awards in 2014. Prior to Homeshop18, he was the executive vice president sales for PepsiCo India. He also worked with Benetton India for five years before joining PepsiCo, as their head sales and marketing for the Indian subcontinent and a decade of experience as retail head with Bata India.
