Zivame appoints Shaleen Sinha as COO

Online lingerie retailer Zivame has roped in Shaleen Sinha as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive its ecommerce venture after it recently raised 40 million dollars (over Rs 262 crores) in funding. Prior to Zivame, Sinha was vice president, the chairman's office at Aditya Birla Group, overseeing Idea, Madura, Pantaloons, More, among other units.
Valued at around 100 million dollars (around Rs 655 crores), Zivame witnesses around 60 percent of its revenue driven by in-house brands with year-on-year revenue growth of 300 percent. It claims to be shipping almost 10 lakh products a year. While consumers from top six Indian cities are its main customers at the moment, the company is initiating ways to reach out Tier II and Tier III cities. Revenues from these cities too have jumped from 15 percent in the first two years to around 30 percent.
Zivame is looking forward to close the current fiscal with Rs 50 crores in gross merchandise value or GMV on a loss of about Rs 35 crores. Zivame offers over 5,000 styles and more than 100 sizes with around 20, 000 products from brands such as Anita, Leonisa, Panache, Enamor, Wonderbra, Triumph, Lovable, Jockey, Amanté, Bwitch, Curvy Kate, Le Mystere and many others.
