Accessories designer Mawi enters India through Koovs

Manipur-born accessory designer based in London Mawi Keivom has partnered with Koovs.com to make an entry into the lucrative e-commerce market in India. Keivom’s ‘Mawi x Koovs’, an exclusive line of jewellery, bags and T-shirts would be retailed on the Koovs platform.

The designer specialises in creating vintage-inspired pieces and her accessories are flaunted by Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukaone as well as global stars such as Rihanna and Selena among. Gemstones, crystals, sparkle, skulls, spikes and studs feature predominantly in Mawi's collections. For her debut collaboration with Indo-British website, Mawi has created pieces targeted at the young college going crowd.

DHL presented the stunning jewellery by Mawi and the sensational Space Age collection from Gaurav Gupta to close the second day at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014. Back home after 12 years, the accessory designer, presented her fabulous debut collection that was ideal for Gaurav Gupta’s glamorous futuristic creations.
