Amazon.in launches an exclusive ‘Junior’ store

Amid stiff competition from home-grown online players such as Flipkart and Snapdeal, India arm of American ecommerce giant Amazon has launched a Junior's store for the kid's clothing category. The store offers fashion for boys and girls in the age group of seven to 14 years with 3,600 styles from over 50 most sought-after brands.

Keeping the prospects of kids’ wear category in sight after several global brands like Pepe, Pony and The Children’s Place announced their plans of launching their range for kids in India, women’s fashion label Chemistry, launched a line of Chemistry girls exclusively on Amazon.in.

From smart casuals, chic dresses to versatile skirts and shorts for girls and from cool super hero T-shirts to latest denim styles and three-fourths, the store aims to provide a complete range of high-quality summer and winter collections. The brands featuring at the store include Adidas, Avengers, Batman, Elle, Disney, French Connection kids, Kidology, among others.

Amazon, which has been pursuing its India plans aggressively since the last two years, is now looking at making its India business the biggest outside the US.
