Apparel and textile major Arvind is focusing on expanding retail presence of its fabric brand Tresca. The brand is with 100 MBOs in West Bengal and the company is set to add 300 more by March 2017. In addition, Tresca will also be retailed in Bangladesh.

A couple of months back, Arvind announced several product launches under men’s fashion wear developed with Tresca along with its plans to take this brand to 10,000 outlets in India and overseas. After Bangladesh, the brand will enter into Middle East and Sri Lankan markets. After receiving encouraging response for its Autumn/Winter 2015 range, the shirting collection planned for Spring/Summer 2016 will have bigger print designs.

Arvind, which manufactures fabrics at its Ahmedabad facility, expects the basket of premium fabrics under the Tresca brand to go up to 25 percent from the current five percent in three to five years. The company has also launched two new ranges of premium shirting fabrics, Immaculate and Tencel. While the former falls in the non-iron category, the second is a cotton and tencel blend. Tresca on the other hand is available as 100 percent giza cotton in the shirting range and 100 percent linen and linen blends in the suiting range.
