Ashapura Intimate Fashion will launch its own e-commerce venture in April. Online foray will coincide with the launch of physical stores in major cities across the country. Ashapura is an intimate and lounge wear manufacturing company and in the online space, it will sell intimate wear, lounge wear, kids’ and toddler wear.

Incorporated in 2006 Ashapura manufactures lounge wear, bridal night wear, honeymoon sets and bathrobes under the brands Valentine and N-Line. Products such as nighties, maternity feeding nighties and bridal night wear (two pieces) are marketed under the brand ‘Night & Day’. It markets sportswear, women’s innerwear and lingerie under the brands Valentine Sportswear, Valentine Secret Skin and Valentine Pink respectively. The company now has a new range of kids’ inner wear with cartoon characters. Plans are on the anvil to set up a 2.5 lakh square feet. integrated manufacturing unit in Vapi, Gujarat. The plant will be operational by financial year 2016.

The Indian innerwear market is estimated to grow at 13 percent to touch Rs 59,540 crores by 2023. Online stores selling intimate wear are seeing their sales boom as the range on offer and privacy of shopping is attracting customers by the hordes.
