Bonjour, the number one player in socks, has had a phenomenal innings so far. Its current turnover is 100 crores and the brand expects to keep growing more in the next few years. Also, after an impressive presence in North India, it is now looking at entering the South, West and East zones, especially to make its presence felt in Tier II and Tier III towns.

Bonjour has made a name for itself in the last few years. It has a total of 11 EBOs. There are 10 exclusive stores in Delhi-NCR alone. The 11th EBO is in Ambala. Other than this, it is present in more than 10,000 leading hosiery and garment stores across India. In 2015 alone, Bonjour added 1500 MBOs.

Socks for all seasons and reasons

The demand for socks has gone up in the last two-three years. Earlier, socks were considered a staid product category. But now it is well accepted as a fashion accessory. People are now ready to experiment with different array of quirky prints, designs and vibrant colours. Earlier, socks were just a winter accessory, but now they are in demand in every season. Bonjour manufactures socks (formal/ dress/ sports/ fashion), stockings, tights and hankies for men, women, girls and kids. Design, versatility and innovation have been the keywords behind the success of Bonjour. It is the only brand using patented technologies producing hygienic products matching the most stringent global quality norms. For the forthcoming season, the company is planning to come up with a wide variety of colours, prints and designs.

Variety is the name of the game

Bonjour was established in 1989. It had the vision of becoming the first Indian multinational socks brand. Today, it is known for its quality and wide variety. Their collection comes in argyles, polka dots, stripes along with some motif designs. These all come in warm shades like black, grey, blue, white, maroon, navy and brown for men and women. Women’s socks are priced Rs 100 onwards while men’s socks are priced between Rs 210-230 per pair.

R K Jain, MD, Bonjour, says, “With our years of expertise in the domain of socks, we are able to present a qualitative spectrum of this category. Our winter collection exhibits style and premium quality. Acknowledged for soft and warm fabric, exquisite designs and varied colours, this range has seen two decades of sale which has been consistently growing for its warmth and comfort. No other Indian manufacturer is offering such wide array of woollen socks.”
