Clovia plans to open more offline stores

Online lingerie vendor Clovia plans to enter the offline space with the launch of 10 shop-in-shop outlets in the next couple of weeks. These outlets will be located in airports of metros, including Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. In addition, Clovia plans to open outlets in large format stores. It has also launched for try-and-buy kiosks in Bangalore, where users can enter and try on products. It plans to increase these kiosks 25 in the city in the next two months.

By the end of financial year 2016-17, the company expects to earn almost 15 to 20 per cent of its sales from these offline channels. A leading online lingerie and nightwear shopping brand in India, Clovia is also among the fastest growing in its category. It offers a variety of bras, briefs, panties and nightwear. And there are occasion specific lines like bridal lingerie, beachwear etc.

Founded in 2012, Noida-based Clovia retails through its own website, and through major e-commerce sites, including Myntra, Jabong, Snapdeal and Flipkart. Clovia’s targets women in the age group of 22 to 35 years with an annual income of Rs 4 lakh. Online lingerie as a category is growing at 55 to 60 percent annually.
