Cool Colors eyes expansion, positive about future growth

With over three decades of experience in the clothing business, Bafna Clothing Company has created a niche in India’s clothing market. With its brand Cool Colors, the company is steadily increasing its presence across India and international destinations such as the UAE and Singapore. The brand is optimistic about positive future growth path.
Strong domestic and overseas experience
“We have been going strong for over 35 years now and have made remarkable strides throughout our journey. From a steadily growing presence across India, Singapore and UAE, our brands have gained significant recognition. We have increased our MBO presence across all markets and are excited about future projects. Compared to last year, we have seen 27 percent increase in sales,” says Praveen Bafna, CMD, Bafna Clothing Company elaborating on the company’s plans.
The brand operates across leading stores in India and the UAE, with over 700 MBOs, five EBOs and two large format stores. “While we get 40 percent business share from South; North, West and East contribute 20 percent each. We have activated a plan to increase our distribution network, through a mix of EBOs and MBOs. We have also improved our portfolio to cater better to consumers. With our next target being Eastern India, we have focused our resources there to understand both the challenges as well as opportunities to create a sustainable business in that part of the country,” explains Bafna, elaborating on the company’s plans.
New styles for the festive season
The brand offers a huge collection of versatile designs across smart casuals and trousers that have been created keeping in mind latest trends and utilise a wide range of colours.Cool Colors offers a wide product basket consisting of sports and regular range of trousers, basic denims, basic shirts and semi casuals.
Bafna points out fashion products with good washing effects are trending. “Denims are positioned as a product providing comfort and style, similar to the western counterparts. The category will continue to enjoy positive growth. The industry is seeing a variety of innovations in the form of impressive subtle designs, mixed fabrics, differentiated fabrics and a variety of unique washes,” he explains.
India is fascinated and engaged with fast moving fashion at a deep level, which has resulted in phenomenal growth that will continue to increase with time. “Consumers are now taking advantage of higher disposable incomes, which have increased the buying cycle. They are more fashion conscious with a preference for bigger wardrobes and that has resulted in a greater demand for variety,” states Bafna.
