Craftsvilla, the online marketplace for ethnic products now plans to open 10 experience centers across the country by March 2016. The aim is to give customers a touch and feel of its products. With experience zones, the company plans to boost online sales by providing better customer experience and pre-sales service. With trained staff to help customers make online purchases while in store, Craftsvilla will have some of the website’s best selling products on display.

The first two experience centers will be set up in Mumbai and will be followed by three in Delhi, two in Bangalore, one in Chennai, one in Hyderabad and one in Kolkata. The focus is to provide customers the top selling products of Craftsvilla which they can try out before they buy. Though the products will be only available online, the staff will provide them assistance with choosing the product.

The aim is to get customers acquainted with products thereby inculcating brand loyalty. The Mumbai-based startup has recently raised funds of around Rs 221 crores, out of which Rs 65 crores has been allotted toward building these experience zones. The idea of experience centers comes from e-commerce sites who try to woo customers who are still hesitant about online shopping.
