Danish Ahmed raises funds for his new start-up - Shopsity

E-commerce site Yebhi.com’s Co-founder Danish Ahmed, who recently put in his paper to launch Shopsity Tech, has raised an undisclosed amount from Sandeep Aggarwal, Founder of ShopClues, and Teruhide Sato, Founder of Netprice.com. The firm is also eyeing another eight million dollars (over Rs 50 crores) in funding.

Set up a month ago, Shopsity, a mobile app, provides information on fashion products being sold in stores in the user’s vicinity through an Android-based app. Shopsity has over 2,000 stores from Delhi/NCR, already listed on its app and aims to take that number to over 40,000 across the top 10 cities.

After changing its business model as product discovery and display platform, picking products retailed on other online websites, e-commerce player Yebhi.com has now also tied up with four leading fashion e-tailers Asos.com, Macys.com, Forever21.com and Shopbop.com , letting consumers shop from these portals. The products, which are mainly apparels and footwear, will be shipped free to Indian consumers within 3-4 days of time.
