DLF Brands to bring more global labels to India

DLF Brands aims to strengthen its brand portfolio by bringing more childcare, parenting and accessories brands to India. Its current partnerships in the fashion space are with Mango and Forever 21. Fashion business contributes almost 40 percent to the entire revenue generated by the company.

Mothercare, the British brand selling clothes for babies, children and expectant mothers, contribute about 35 percent, while the rest comes from accessories and footwear. The company aims to add around 15 new brands to its portfolio this year. The company also launched a website for Forever 21 in the country and is now developing an online platform for Mothercare. In the next two-three months, the retailer will also launch a multi-brand e-commerce portal for kids and baby products.

DLF Brands closed the financial year 2014-15 with revenue of over Rs 500 crores from about Rs 260 crores a year ago. The company opened 55 new stores taking its total store count to 200 during the fiscal year.
