Ebay India Managing Director Latif Nathani met commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss the prospects of the booming e-commerce market in the country. Nathani says that eBay has 50,000 sellers on its platform, of which 15,000 sell across the globe and this is a huge opportunity with the government charter of ‘Make in India’ because these traders are mostly artisans, craftsman and they are exporting India's products and culture on the foreign shore.
eBay India is one of the oldest marketplace in India, offers shoppers a wide selection of fashion and lifestyle merchandise for men and women through 2,00,000 products across 1,000 national and regional brands. The e-retailer caters to consumers across 4,306 cities, towns and villages in the country.
All products on eBay India are covered under the eBay Guarantee, which offers shoppers a replacement or refund on all transactions in case they are dissatisfied with the product they purchased. The payment is released to the merchant only once the product is delivered. Consumers can also redeem their payback points on the platform across all product categories.
