Ex-Reebok India MD serves as consultant to Future Group

Controversial ex-Reebok MD Subhinder Singh Prem’s has been roped in by Future Group as a consultant for their new brand ‘Spunk’. It maybe recalled that Prem along with his colleagues were accused of alleged Rs 870 crores scam in 2012, where he was put behind bars. He is currently out on bail and the case against him is still open.

Company insiders say that Prem will be involved in developing the product range for Spunk and also help in sourcing. The company has brought him as an advisor on board because of his vast experience of working in the footwear retail industry. Apart from Spunk, Future Brands is also focusing on other private labels under its fold such as John Miller, Hey, Prima Diva, Lombard and Tasty Treat in the food and non-food categories. Prem is also expected to play an active role in bringing global brands to retail under the Future Group.
