Hang N Hold, a homegrown designer womenswear, recently launched its new western collection as well as a new website www.hnh.in. The new western collection has short coats, scarves, shawls, dresses, shrugs, kurtis and tunics. Lot of prints have been introduced on kurtis and sweaters. The designs are very western with a play on a variety of textures. Sweatshirts are a big seller because they make a fashion statement and are easy to wear. Also, jeggings in Lycra, cotton and jacquard are big this season.

Hang N Hold also specialises in a variety of shawls. The shawls are made of wool and modal, with lot of embroidery and handwork. The colours used are mostly bright. The shawls category has been growing both in the domestic as well as international markets, where they are exported.

Maturing winter wear market

Over the years, the winter wear market has matured with both quality and designs improving manifold. Consumers are more brand conscious and concerned about the kind of clothes they wear. A lot of the credit goes to e-tailers who have made consumers fashion conscious. Hang N Hold tries to meet all the challenges posed to it through repeated innovations and research. Its design team travels around the world to get inspiration for latest designs. That is how the company is able to keep up with the changing times and meet the demands of its target audience, women in the age group 21 to 35 years.

Making it big in retail

Hang N Hold has about 800 MBOs and no EBOs. They already have a good presence in North India and are now looking at spreading to the markets in South India. Even online the brand is available on every major platform. “We are not planning any extension in our existing product line and are looking at consolidation of business. Our motto is value added products,” says Ashish Jain, Director. Meanwhile, the brand recently launched its own website www.hnh.in, and is doing good in e-commerce. Also on its agenda are tie ups with all the major web platforms to spread online retail.
