Indian Terrain, the brand that retails premium workwear and business casuals for men is ready to launch three new styles in jacket as a part of its Autumn/Winter range. “Our winter-wear received a positive response in A/W’14 and we’re happy to give customers a wider range in the upcoming season,” says Amitabh Suri, Chief Operating Officer, Indian Terrain.

Elaborating on USP of the brand’s collection, Suri says, “While innovations and trends play an active role in product evolution, understanding customer preferences, managing an effective supply chain, and consistency in quality are some key considerations. Innovations in laundry and in fits help us keep the product offerings contemporary and relevant.”

Stylish line for mature men

Indian Terrain’s apparel range is anonymous yet stylish, designed for mature, sophisticated men between 30 to 45 years. The quality of apparel, innovative finishes and tailored fits cater to different preferences of the customers. The line includes shirts, trousers, T-shirts, shorts, sweaters and jackets.

“Our iconic Brooklyn fit trousers has been consistently well received since its inception. We’re offering this fit in our range of vintage khakis, workwear khakis and premium chinos next season. We’re also introducing a new slim fit for a select few trousers. The silhouette is structured and we’ve used stretch fabric, so it looks flattering and is comfortable to wear,” informs Suri.

The core colour palette for Autumn/Winter’15 consists of shades of khaki, olive, navy, burgundy and white. Indigo is a prominent colour story for Indian Terrain next season. “We are launching a new collection of jeans called ‘Vintage Wash Denims’, next season. The denims in this collection have been crafted from stretch fabric and especially washed to achieve the worn-in look. The collection consists of both distressed and cleaner looking denims to cater to different customer preferences,” adds Suri.

The brand also has a range of belts and wallets that complement the core offerings in the shirts and trousers categories and it is looking at expanding its offerings in terms of accessories.

Strengthening retail network

With Rs 300 crores turnover and a presence through 120 EBOs, 800 plus MBOs and over 160 large format stores, Indian Terrain retails online with four e-commerce partners: Flipkart, Snapdeal, Myntra, and Jabong and its own site. “Business in this format has been promising and we’re likely for steady growth in this channel over the next few years,” avers Suri.

The brand plans to open several stores over the next few years. The brand is present in all markets and has a strong foothold in the south. “We’ve made a complete retail foray across the country and hope to consolidate our presence with EBOs in emerging markets,” he sums up.
