Lasoon targets youth with its winter range

With a collection to suit the sensibilities of young consumers, Lasoon brand has unveiled an interesting line of kurtis , pyjamis , salwar and tunics for the winter. Elaborating on the range Arjun Tondon of Lasoon says, “This shift in designing for the young, corroborates the fact that how preferences of buyers in this fast changing world are undergoing a change with rising exposure to the outer world.”

Made of 20 per cent wool and 80 per cent acrylic, the entire product line by the brand has been introduced keeping in mind that the people now look for aesthetics and functionality both at economical prices.

Winter offerings to suit the young

With an aim to let the buyers of every class and age group buy its products, the prices of Lasoon range start from Rs 270 and ends at Rs 1,100 in wholesale rates. While the rates in tops category are between Rs 400 to Rs 700, kurtis at entry level are being sold in Rs 750 and Rs 1,100 range. Pyjamis are priced from Rs 270 to Rs 325.

“Every season kicks off demand for new shades and to fulfil that requirement is an experiment in itself,” says Tondon, talking about the colours in vogue this season, adding, “This year, tones generating interest among buyers are red, mustard, royal blue and magenta to name a few.”

Increasing MBO count to increase footprint

Brand is with 500 MBOs in the country at the moment and continuously undertakes 20 percent retail expansion. “This year too we are expecting a rise in numbers of MBOs but much of this hope lies in the movement of the market. Besides, fair share of our production goes in exporting to the US, UK and Canada, the markets that hold a good demand for our products. We also have online presence through our own website and Snapdeal.

Company’s journey dates back to the year 1980 when the founders began manufacturing with the help of four hand flat machines. Today the company is equipped with all latest machineries and state-of-the-art infrastructure, while undertaking best practices for manufacturing in the industry. “The journey has really been remarkable,” avers Tondon.
