Masaba Gupta to launch sportswear line with Viv Richards

Fashion designer Masaba Gupta’s upcoming sportswear collection has been co-designed by her father and former West Indies cricketer, Viv Richards. Titled Viv x Masaba, the line will provide a stylish touch to the sports collection and will be unveiled next year.

The young designer, known for her quirky design sense, has taken up a new challenge as the Creative Director of Anouk brand at Myntra. She was so far serving as the Fashion Director of Satya Paul for last two years, which ended a couple of months ago.

At Myntra, her mandate is to create two collections every year and oversee the overall look and feel of Anouk, a casual brand aimed at the masses, unlike Satya Paul, which was more luxury-oriented. She also recently launched a capsule collection of saris and accessories inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s book, Half Girlfriend.
