Pepe Jeans London is looking to India for expansion, where it aims to more than double its current store operations from 200 up to 500 stores.
Pepe Jeans, which is owned by Lebanese group M1 and LVMH subsidiary L Capital Asia, is looking to increase sales in the next three years, both via store expansion and introducing new categories such as footwear and kidswear.
Expansion sites are targeted at both metro cities and growing tier II & III cities with the focus on more exclusive monobrand units on a franchise model.
"We will have a sales between INR1,400 crore-INR,500 crore by FY 2018-19. The idea is double every three years; even in the last three years we have doubled our turnover," Pepe Jeans India CEO Kavindra Mishra told PTI.
Besides its own stores, its products are also available through 700 multi-brand stores and online through channel partners such as Myntra and Jabong.
Mishra said key growth area will be through new segments to add sales.
"There are new categories like shoes, sun glasses and kidswear that we are adding," he said, noting the first standalone kidswear store will open next year.
Pepe Jeans London is a denim and casual wear jeans brand established in the Portobello Road area of London in 1973, and based in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Spain.
