Roush eyes rapid retail expansion across major metros

Through a multi-retail strategy, men’s footwear label Roush is present in 21 EBOs in six cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune. The company now aims to establish its retail presence through large format stores and distributors across metros and Tier II cities apart from ecommerce platforms such as Myntra, Jabong, Amazon and Flipkart.

After carefully studying men’s footwear buying habits, the brand realized that while tan and brown shoes are in trend from style and fashion perspective, driving shoes and boots in variety of colours and styles rule the casual category. Also rising fashion and brand consciousness among men is leading them to spend as much as Rs 10 to 17,000 on shoes for special occasions. The company found out that men are also choosing design elements like braided saddle and woven uppers and Monk Strap shoes.

Sara Soule, company behind brand Ruosh, was a contract manufacturer of soles and shoes, which supplied to brands such as Bata, Clarks, Kenneth Cole, Espirit and Hush Puppies. Now it is focusing on expanding its core manufacturing business by boosting its front-end retailing venture.
