Second Global Desi store launched in Mauritius

Designer Anita Dongre has launched second Global Desi brand store in Mauritius after the success of debut store which opened in 2013. The new store is based in the city’s prime fashion destination -- Trianon Shopping Park. It houses all three brands under Anita Dongre’s fashion house: And Designs India (ADIL), which includes And, the contemporary westernwear brand; Global Desi - the Indo-fusion label, and her eponymous label – Anita Dongre.

Spread over a sprawling 2,357 square foot, the store has three separate sections dedicated to each brand and offers a mix of style infused ensembles for every occasion, mood and personality. Commenting on the new launch, Anita Dongre, says, “Following the positive response Global Desi has received in Mauritius since its launch in 2013, I am excited to launch my flagship store here and look forward to sharing the distinctive style DNA of each of my brands, with the fashion enthusiasts of Mauritius.”

A visionary and creative genius, Dongre followed her dream, and created a fashion empire. And has 62 exclusive brand stores and retails from 267 multi-brand outlets. Global Desi stands at 78 exclusive brand outlets and is present across 218 multi-brand stores in India. ADIL’s brands are present in more than 56 cities in India, with 150 exclusive brand outlets (including 2 stores in Mauritius) and more than 450 department store counters.
