Witnessing encouraging response to its five running stores in the city, ethnic wear brand Soch has opened a new store in Pondi Bazar, Chennai. Spread over 2,590 sq. ft., the store is designed by the brand’s in-house team.

Since its first outlet launched in Bangalore in 2005, Soch has spread its footprint with 54 outlets across 17 cities in the country. After almost a decade in the business, the Rs 250-crores company announced plans of retailing products in countries like the US, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Mauritius, Singapore, Indonesia, Malayasia and UAE this year. Like global fashion brands, who are testing waters in India through ecommerce route; even Soch would test-market its products via online medium before opening physical stores in these countries.

The plan is to open franchise stores in these international destinations to cater to the Indians residing in these countries. The plan is to open 30 stores in the country and add more than 15 franchise outlets, while focusing energies on establishing business through ecommerce.
