Watch brand Bulova enters India through Amazon

Premium American watch brand Bulova has entered India through a partnership with e-commerce giant Amazon. The company is bullish about its India prospects, and plans to retail a majority of range in the country through the ecommerce route only for now. Bulova’s exclusive distributor based in Bangalore will retail its product range on Amazon.in.

It also aims to open physical brand stores once it establishes a presence through Amazon. It would bring the exclusive 'Swiss' collection for Indian customers on a later stage. Bulova watches will be available in the price range of Rs 9,000 to Rs 1 lakh in India.

Amazon India is close to achieving sales target of two billion dollars (over Rs 12,300 crores) by the end of current fiscal. Posing tough competition to home-grown etailers, The US-based e-tailing major launched as many as 24 new stores, took its product offerings to 19 million, and grew its total seller base to 16,000 in 2014.
