Anita Dongre to showcase collection in Muscat

Muscat is ready to host a fashion show to showcase collections from Indian and Pakistani designers. A bevy of models will sashay the ramp at a glittering event that will encompass the culture and rich heritage of India and Pakistan. Anita Dongre from India and Rizwan Beyg from Pakistan will showcase their intricate and exquisite designs.

Beyg’s collection is inspired by seashells, mother of pearl, turquoise stones and floss floral embroideries in rich colors of ivory and black are common. The palette is subdued, with flashes of color thrown in with a touch of whimsy. Watermelon pink, beige and biscuit, turquoise and mustard mixed with pomegranate red, black and always white silver and dull antique gold. His collection brings the hand embroidered three-dimensional flower and is the leitmotif of the collection.

Dongre a top designer in India is also celebrated for her commitment to reviving, sustaining and empowering traditional Indian crafts. With a vegan and no-leather policy, combined with a desire to make fashion accessible, she has crafted a folio of brands to meet Indian consumers’ need for fashionable wear.
