Apparel makers look forward to positive winter

With rising consumer confidence, increasing incomes and fashion sense, clothing manufacturers from are looking forward to around 50-60 percent growth in winter business. Their expectations are pegged on the innovative winter collections they are launching or have already launched.

Joseph Muthaiyan, CEO of Blumerq, is estimating annual turnover to increase 60 percent. He believes the upcoming season will have a festive joy and the dark tones will change into brighter shades in clothing preferences. Mustang, known for its collection of socks, is ready for the winter with a new range of briefs, vests and camisoles for kids as well as Disney inspired Marvel Avengers kids socks to combat the chilly season. Lubeina Shahpurwala, Codirector, Mustang Enterprises says the brand’s winter range is all about playful illustrations, bold patterns, beautiful designs, character ranges, trendy styles, and above all quality clothesline. Customers in metros like Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi are conscious about their dressing and prefer a perfect pair of socks to go along with their complete look.

Keeping the pre-winter requirements of consumers in North India, where winter is shrinking over the last few years, Numero Uno Clothing has introduced lighter weight garments which could be used for a longer period of time.
