Betsey Johnson has launched a collection created with Paris Hilton, drawing on the label's runway history and archive, with the socialite-turned-DJ applying her own point of view to a selection of the brand's recognisable silhouettes.
Aptly named Betsey Johnson by Paris Hilton, the collection was released on Tuesday. The brand described it as a tribute to two women who have continuously championed authenticity, optimism, and the freedom to express yourself through fashion.
"Paris has always been my girl," Betsey Johnson said in a statement. "I've been inspired by her for years-I even named dresses after her! Working together feels like something that was always meant to happen. We both believe in doing the most. Honestly, why do anything less?"
Hilton, who also stars in the campaign, said the collaboration follows a long association with the label. "I've loved Betsey forever - from going to her runway shows to wearing her iconic designs. She's always been one of my favorite designers, so creating Betsey Johnson by Paris Hilton is such a full-circle moment. I hope everyone has as much fun wearing this collection as we had creating it and gets to Sliv every time they wear Betsey."
For every purchase from the collection on betseyjohnson.com, Betsey Johnson will donate one dollar to the Elton John AIDS Foundation through its partnership with ShoppingGives.
