Burlingtons is now ‘Sood’ from Burlingtons

The popular bespoke luxury designer menswear label from Kolkata has now transformed itself into ‘Sood’ from Burlingtons. Catering to pre-wedding merchandise needs, Kommal Sood specializes in bespoke tailoring. Essence of her brand is a blend of east and west having beautiful cuts, styles and colours. Competitive price points of her range starts from Rs 5,000 going up to Rs 60,000 for the heavy wedding dresses.

Sood is known for using fabrics for the suits, sourced from Italian fashion houses like Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Reda and Dormeuil, whereas embellishments come from Germany and embroidery is handcrafted by the homegrown artisans of Bengal. The range on offer consists of some unique suits, jackets, fitted trousers, shirts, traditional bandhgalas and sherwanis as well as Indo-Western pieces like jodhpuris, harem pants and Nehru jackets.

The brand, with its new identity aims to spread presence in Kolkata as well as other Indian cities including Tier II and Tier III town, from where the demand is on the rise. Also on the agenda is the launch of its own web-store offering customised clothing solutions.
