While H&M denies these claims, stating they only destroy clothing which fails to fulfil their strict safety regulations, and Bestseller counters that it only incinerates items that are damaged, the idea that high street fashion brands incinerate potentially valuable resources shines a light on one of the main problems currently residing in the industry.
