Cantabil plans launch of online business with three new brands

Delhi-based brand Cantabil has plans to launch three brands named: Bonetti in the premium category; Crozo in women’s wear category; and Kaneston an (innerwear & accessories brand. Also on the agenda is stepping up its online retail presence.
Aggressive plans for new brands
“We are coming up with these new brands and plan to push them aggressively. We are poised to launch online B2B under Kingswood and are increasing our product portfolio of innerwear and accessories with the brand Kaneston,” says Deepak Bansal, Director of Cantabil Retail.
Meanwhile Cantabil has introduced ‘winter denims’ where the reverse side has been brushed to give a cosy effect. “We have researched to strike the right blend of cotton and acrylic to suit the needs of Indian winter in our sweaters. Mufflers and caps are new additions,” he adds.
For the first time, fashionable suits and sweaters with vibrant neon touch detailing have been included in the winter denims collection. Neon ladies pullovers and leggings are new additions. Matching ties and pocket square with digital prints are included. The key styles of A/W ’14 include yarn dyed suit, striped front half open sweater, shirts with trim around the neck and front placket.
Brand’s growth continues
Targeting the age group 25 to 35 years, service professionals from middle- to upper income group, Cantabil has evolved over the years. Listed in BSE and NSE Cantabil and is an ISO certified company. It registered 30 percent growth which is considerably higher than the average growth of industry. Now the brand has a turnover of over Rs 118 crores. “There was a time when most fashion brands and retailers in India focused on metros and large cities. This has changed substantially in recent years as youth in small cities and rural areas have become more fashion-conscious and aspirational,” explains Bansal.
The brand operates 150 EBOs in 17 states and 71 cities. Of these, 70 percent stores are in north India covering all major cities of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab.
