Comedian-actor Vir Das to launch a clothing line

Stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das ready to launch a quirky clothing line under his company Weirdass Comedy, comprising of unisex T-shirts and boxer shorts conceptualised by him.

Das joins a long list of Bollywood celebrities, who are making a foray into fashion and clothing business. Some of them are Malaika Arora Khan, who curates fashion for a website called Closet Label, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who designed clothes for her IPL team, Rajasthan Royals, John Abraham, Mandira Bedi, Lara Dutta, Lisa Ray and the list is endless.

Actress Madhuri Dixit too launched her clothing label Madz recently. While Salman Khan’s Being Human Clothing is popular across India and abroad, Hrithik Roshan has launched two labels. Shahrukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan has designer a holiday collection for Satya Paul and* actor Anil Kapoor’s daughters, one among them, actress herself, Sonam and Rhea Kapoor are the latest on that list with a clothing label called ‘Rheson’. Even* Shraddha Kapoor ventured into the fashion world with a line of clothing called ‘Imara’.
