Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has announced the schedule of shows lined up and the list of designers, who would be presenting their collections for the Spring/Summer 2016 season at the Amazon India Fashion Week. The five-day event is scheduled from October 7 to11, 2015 at the NSIC Grounds, New Delhi.
Announcing the schedule, Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, “This year, we have had a resounding success in participation with 30 shows, 115 designers showcasing through runway and exhibition and 56 designers on the ramp. I am delighted to announce the schedule for the upcoming season of AIFW, as we are geared up for a hearty mix of established gurus and newcomers, who will add buoyancy to the coveted event.”
Two seasons ago, replacing its long-standing partner sponsor Wills Lifestyle, FDCI brought on board, American ecommerce giant Amazon’s India arm as the title sponsor of the India Fashion Week. Ecommerce companies seem to be leaving no avenue vacant for fashion brands and physical retailers to strengthen positioning among their online as well as offline rivals.
