Gymshark, the British activewear brand, has launched SoftSense, a collection aimed at studio training and Pilates, made with Lycra Adaptiv fibre technology.

The move reflects how the brand’s customers already train. While 96 percent of Gymshark customers lift weights weekly, 36 percent also practise Pilates each week, according to the company. SoftSense takes the brand’s strength-led approach into the studio rather than moving away from its weightlifting roots.

According to the company, the collection is designed to solve a common compromise in Pilates wear, where supportive fabrics can feel restrictive and stretchier fabrics often lack hold. SoftSense fabric firms up at rest to provide shape and support, then softens and stretches with the body in motion before returning to its shape.

The 11-piece collection includes mid- and high-rise leggings, flared and straight-leg styles, shorts, sports bras, short- and long-sleeve tops and a full-zip jacket. Multiway tops can be worn front-to-back to switch between scoop and V-necklines. The range comes in six colourways: Black, Soft Brown, Soft White, Shadow Blue, Cherry Red and Impact Red.

Gymshark first teased the collection in its campaign with Megan Thee Stallion, who wore the SoftSense shorts in Impact Red.
