India Runway Week (IRW) organized by the Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) will be held from April 10 to 12, providing platform to showcase talent for young Indian designers.
This year, the event would be held after two leading fashion extravaganzas held in the country – Lakme Fashion Week and Amazon India Fashion Week, to take advantage of international buyers’ presence in the country, around these two events.
Last show, held in September 2014 saw around 12 Winter/Festive 2014 catwalk shows as well as parades by designers from cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ludhiana and Delhi. The catwalk line-up includes over 10 generation next designers as well as four budding designers and several emerging labels. The event also showcased jewellery collections from rising names like Kavita Gogna and Akassh K Aggarwal. Each season, IRW introduces new talent and promotes young Indian designers on the global fashion map.
