Khadi Board announces debut edition of Rajasthan Heritage Week

Khadi Board has announced the launch of the first edition of ‘Rajasthan Heritage Week’ where seven national award-winning artisans with acclaimed designers will showcase an exclusive collection created with handmade fabrics of the state.
The Khadi Board and the Rajasthan government, in association with Prasad Bidapa Associates will organise the three-day event starting from December 3, 2015 in Jaipur. The event will highlight modern luxury and beauty of heritage. The collaboration between the artisans and designers will witness the building of the brand 'Handmade in Rajasthan'.
It will feature a host of top designers from India and abroad including Ritu Kumar, Bibi Russel, Abraham and Thakore and Hemant Trivedi who have worked alongside award-winning artisans to showcase their intricate designs and artistry using heritage fabrics. The aim of organising this Heritage Week is to showcase the versatility of the state’s heritage fabrics to buyers across India and internationally, in silhouettes appealing to the modern sensibilities.
